A family-run general contractor in downtown DC, selective about the volume of work it takes on, known for strong employee retention and a tight-knit culture, is looking for an experienced Superintendent to run field operations on commercial and multifamily/mixed-use projects.

This is a firm that's stayed intentionally lean rather than chasing scale, which means Superintendents here aren't one of a dozen interchangeable field leads, you're running your job with real autonomy and staying close to leadership throughout. Historic restoration and office-conversion work are part of the regular mix alongside standard commercial and multifamily builds, so the portfolio stays varied.

What You'd Be Doing

• Running day-to-day field operations on commercial/multifamily construction projects
• Coordinating subcontractors and enforcing schedule adherence
• Owning site safety and quality control
• Managing daily reporting and field documentation
• Serving as the boots-on-the-ground leader accountable for keeping the job moving

What They're Looking For

• HS Diploma/GED
• 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
• Historic renovation or multifamily residential experience is a plus
• OSHA 30
• Strong field leadership and subcontractor management skills
