Superintendent– Commercial Construction

Russ Hadick & Associates has partnered with a leading General Contractor into help them add a Superintendent to their growing team in Miami, FL. This company is known for K12 & Higher Ed, Office Commercial, Healthcare, Goverment, Parking, and Mixed Use/Hospitality projects.

Position Overview:

Our expanding company seeks a Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all field operations and supervise subcontractors at the project site. Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, the Superintendent will ensure project success. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and synchronize all on-site construction tasks among subcontractors and involved parties.

• Possess in-depth understanding of Construction Documents and ensure compliance with their specifications.

• Enforce project safety protocols, ensuring all site personnel adhere to safety standards and the project safety plan.

• Evaluate daily subcontractor and workforce staffing levels.

• Monitor daily material and equipment availability, tracking vendor deliveries to prevent delays and minimize on-site material loss.

• Contribute to project schedule development, providing data to create, track, and adjust schedules as needed.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish and manage site utilization, services, safety plans, and security measures.

• Track performance of all parties against commitments, ensuring subcontractors provide adequate workforce and hours to meet project goals.

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the general contract requirements and ensure compliance.

• Ensure fieldwork meets high-quality standards and is executed efficiently.

• Keep daily progress logs and hold weekly safety meetings at the job site.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years construction experience as Lead Superintendent
• Experience in Florida preferred
• Ground-up projects: municipal, government, schools, commercial
• Projects $20M+
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, local building codes
• Expertise in field supervision: layout, framing, MEP, finish trades
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and project management
• Strong scheduling experience
• Proven safety record, compliant with OSHA guidelines
• Authorized to work in the US
