Summer School RN - Full-Time

School Nurses (RNs Only) Wanted for Summer

The Caswood Group is hiring Registered Nurses ONLY for the extended school year to work in a Summer School program in the School's Health Office. We have several different openings for the Extended school yearly.

Monday- Friday 8 am-3:30 pm - Must be available all 5 days a week.

Nursing care may include wound care, administering medication, tube feeds, pediatric diabetes, perform first aid, seizure care, Epis - all in accordance with the RN’s proper scope of practice.
Experience in pediatrics preferred.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN
• Current NYS Nursing License, Active and in good standing
• Meets professional nursing standards and pertinent local, state, and federal requirements
• Federal background check, Drug screen, Physical statement/annual health update, MMR & PPD
• Strong clinical communication Skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and record keeping
• Physical Requirements
• Must possess reliable transportation and be able to travel to and from work
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to sufficiently move equipment without assistance. Must be able to sustain prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting. Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
• Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions, such as, possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids and infectious diseases
