Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field operations for all structural work: oversee crews, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and safety.
  • Plan and sequence structural activities in coordination with the project schedule and critical path.
  • Ensure top-tier quality on rebar, formwork, concrete pours, and structural steel—know how to build it right the first time.
  • Track productivity and crew performance, proactively resolving issues and eliminating roadblocks.
  • Interface with engineers, inspectors, and clients—represent the company with professionalism and technical credibility.
  • Enforce safety protocols—zero tolerance for shortcuts. You set the tone for jobsite culture.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specs like second nature.
  • Forecast needs and coordinate logistics for materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Mentor and develop field crews, building up foremen and labor leads.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience with at least 5 focused on structures.
  • Proven track record managing bridge and concrete structural scopes from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT standards, structural codes, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Able to work long hours and manage high-output environments.
  • Proficient in field documentation, scheduling tools (P6, MS Project), and basic tech.
  • OSHA 30 certified; CPR/First Aid is a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a bonus in workforce coordination.
