Stroke Unit Patient Safety Nurse Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stroke Unit Patient Safety Nurse Manager to join our team in Baltimore, MD. Salary: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee patient safety initiatives in the stroke unit to ensure the delivery of safe, age-appropriate care.
  • Lead, motivate, and provide educational development to the nursing staff to ensure a highly skilled and competent workforce.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the hospital to drive improvements in patient care and safety protocols.
  • Monitor compliance with National Patient Safety Goals and other regulatory standards.
  • Develop and manage unit operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in patient care delivery.
  • Foster a culture of learning, safety, and teamwork, emphasizing the importance of a supportive and just environment.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from a CCNE accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • 5 years of progressive nursing experience in the field of stroke care and patient safety.
  • Current Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN).
  • Valid American Heart Association BLS (CPR) and ACLS certifications.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a healthcare team with a focus on patient safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • National Certification in a relevant specialty within one year of hire.
  • Experience in a supervisory or management role within a stroke unit or similar settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement patient safety initiatives and improve patient outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively directing and mentoring others.
