Strategist
Job Description
The contractor will provide strategic advisory services to DND/CAF for the design and implementation of Oracle asset management processes. This includes leading negotiations for the upcoming Oracle Java contract before its expiration and optimizing the current operating model to enhance efficiency and compliance.
2.2 Tasks
· Assess the Current Oracle Footprint
o Evaluate DND/CAF’s Oracle environment, including cloud and on-premise requirements, emerging needs, and anticipated business demands.
· Data Collection & Analysis
o Engage with key personnel, review documentation, and gather critical data for analysis.
o Continuously refine data collection processes to ensure accuracy and identify gaps across all Oracle products, with an emphasis on Oracle Java deployment.
Mandatory
M1 The contractor must have at least five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years in Oracle software contracting and asset management for a large Federal Government department with a complex and federated IT infrastructure. The contractor must provide at least two (2) client references, including: · Client Department Name · Client Name & Position · Client Contact Position Project Start & End Date bidder to insert
M2 The contractor must demonstrate a minimum of seven (7) years of experience within the past ten (10) years working with large, complex organizations in the management of Oracle software entitlements, including baseline assessments and audit defense for Oracle Java.
