Summary

This role will be responsible for leading bid events (RFP’s) and Request for Information (RFI’s) in the capital category of construction services. The role will be responsible for collecting information to commercially prequalify contractors in alignment with Vendor Qualification Process (S&IM), conducting bids, summarizing, and participating in award scenarios. The individual will also be responsible for understanding upcoming project requirements and planning time to support project requirements from central or factory engineering in alignment with the Company’s Competitive Bid Policy. There will be a high degree of interaction with factories, NiM colleagues and Engineering stakeholders including Legal. Identifying and developing strategies to create value and deliver speed to the market through prequalified and negotiated supply base is a key aspect of this role through Strategic Sourcing and Category Management.

Main Purpose of the Job
To set up and execute RFP’s and RFI’s related to local project needs in the categories of Land, Buildings, Services and Equipment sourcing.

Key Outputs / Deliverables

• Conduct RFI’s and RFP’s in the construction service category and designate suppliers in the supplier portal.
o Recognize strategic drivers and activities that support key priorities within category and across organization
o Leverage intelligence tools and participate in professional associations to learn best practices and industry trends
o Comply with all Procurement and company policies, procedures, and practices, and promote adherence across the organization
o Apply project management principles to drive cross-functional teams in effective and efficient delivery of business objectives for both day to day activities and key projects
o Lead bidding events for services required in excess of Nestlé Competitive Bid thresholds
o Submit the RFIs / RFPs requests to NBS to ensure timely generation of the RFPs / RFIs Events.
o Generate Proposals comparison, ensure adherence to Purina Contract Template, Payment Terms, and Procurement standards requirements.
o Receive and execute against intake forms
o Follow up with Project Mgr’s through project completion relative to commercial aspects
o Compiling and communicating bid summaries
o Work with team on assigned RFP’s
o Communicate award scenarios
o Compile contract documents as required

• Support sourcing efforts in the area of Maintenance, Repairs and Operations
• Document and input savings into cost saving tool (OSCAR)
• Support key Procurement KPI’s relative to Ensure Supply, identifying and developing alternate suppliers

Qualifications/Certifications:
• Candidate must be detail oriented, proactive, high degree of initiative and results focused
• Proven ability to analyze and present findings in a clear and cohesive manner
• Capable of navigating through ambiguous situations and managing relationships
• Strong communication skills need to liaise between the internal customers and the NiM team
• Ability to work collaboratively and support multiple sourcing initiatives at once

Critical Experiences/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required in the areas of Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Equivalent
• Minimum 2 years sourcing, supply chain, technical/manufacturing experience preferred with experience in eSourcing processes, negotiations, construction, category strategy and supply agreement development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• SAP, Ariba (eSourcing), PowerBI, experience preferred
• Understanding of multiple factory operations a plus
• Database building or assembling of data into metrics and dashboards a plus
• Contract negotiations experience is a plus
