Strategic Account Executive – British Columbia & Manitoba

As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive new revenue, manage key accounts, and provide leadership within the sales team across British Columbia and Manitoba.

About the Role

As Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving new business development while managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic accounts across your territory. You will focus on generating new revenue, delivering tailored logistics solutions, and building strong relationships with large, complex organizations. In addition to your individual sales performance, you will act as a team lead, supporting the development of junior sales professionals while contributing to broader sales strategies, market initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Prospect and secure new business through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
• Achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets across domestic and international services.
• Develop and execute territory sales strategies to drive market share growth.
• Conduct client meetings and deliver compelling presentations to close new business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue opportunities within large, complex organizations.

Account Management & Client Experience

• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic and existing customers.
• Deliver customized logistics solutions aligned with client needs and objectives.
• Manage customer accounts to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Address service issues proactively and escalate risks when required.
• Conduct regular account reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.

Leadership & Team Support

• Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Account Executives and Associate Account Executives.
• Support onboarding and identify training and development opportunities across the team.
• Act as a subject matter expert on sales strategies, market trends, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.

Strategic & Operational Contribution

• Prepare and present quarterly business reviews and competitive insights.
• Lead and support annual sales initiatives, including market strategies and product rollouts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, and operations to drive revenue growth.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems, including pipeline activity and account strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as Inside Sales, Air Freight, and Global Accounts to maximize opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within transportation or logistics.
• At least 2 years of experience in an Account Executive role.
• Proven experience selling to large, complex organizations (Fortune 500 experience considered an asset).
• Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and account growth strategies.
