  • Full-time-permanent position
  • Weekdays are Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Euravia Engineering are looking for a Stores Manager to join our Logistics Team. Our successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a first class stores facility for Euravia UK MRO facility. Ensuring processes, controls and conditions are met and exceed the needs of the business and our Customers

Essential Responsibilities

  • To manage all logistical processes, including and not limited to;
    • Goods Receipt & Dispatch
    • Stock management, measurement, accuracy, condition and control
    • Stock issues and despatches
    • Transportation of goods both internal and external to point of use
    • Management of stores conditions and housekeeping
    • Eliminate safety incidents.
    • Monitor external supplier paperwork and product for compliance / quality defects.
    • Meet operational targets
    • Maintain the highest 6S standard
  • Management of stores staff to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Management of the Transportation and shipping of goods receipt / despatch
  • Be pivotal in the implementation of the future business strategy for stores environment
  • Responsible for the motivation and productivity of the stores staff and liaison with the various department heads to ensure that the needs of the business are met.
  • Ensure stores processes are compliant with regulatory standards.
  • Holds management reviews on a regular basis with those within his control.
  • Keep abreast of new emerging technologies and to make recommendations where appropriate to the strategy of the business.
  • Lead follow up to Customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.
  • Manage Manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements. Drive Company Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels. Deal with all personnel issues including interaction with HR in line with Company Policy
  • Ensure cost effective performance is enhanced by reducing operational outlay for consumables.
  • Ensure compliance with H & S requirements and liaise with H&S managers as necessary

Position Requirements

Academic:

  • Preferred - MSc in an appropriate academic area

Professional Accreditations:

  • Preferred - Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT’s) qualification

Experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a logistics management activity with a well-known experienced Logistics organisation.

Key Competencies:

  • Stock Management and control.
  • Knowledge of transportation, packaging and handling methods.

Other skills/Abilities

Skills:

  • Man management with clear expectation and objective setting.
  • Use of IT and all major MS packages

Abilities:

  • Use of and ability to organise reporting structures that drive efficiency in the organisation
