Our client in the Chemical and Agricultural Sector, is seeking a Temporary Statistician/Analyst to provide support to their Yields and HESQ functions over a one-year period.

Temporary Statistician/Analyst (One-Year Contract)

Location: Fully On-Site

Hours of work:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, the selected candidate may be required to work beyond these hours to complete assigned tasks and reports.
  • Work on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays may also be required, depending on site activities and reporting deadlines.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and efficient data management within our operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

Yields Support

  • Perform daily and monthly raw material and finished product accounting, including data collection, report generation, and SAP transactions in compliance with company procedures.
  • Prepare and reconcile reports, investigate discrepancies, and analyze inventory variances.
  • Ensure availability on the first day of each month for data collection to meet reporting requirements.

HESQ Support

  • Manage data input and maintain organizational lists for permits, TOPS/HOPS, and PROs Self-Assessment Status.
  • Develop PowerPoint content for HESQ initiatives such as HES Shared Learning and Near Misses.
  • Compile and deliver weekly and monthly HESQ reports within prescribed timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Process Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Prior experience in a process plant environment will be considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent mathematical and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in SharePoint, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
  • Knowledge of HESQ management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
  • Familiarity with local environmental and health & safety regulations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
