The contractor will serve as an executive-level Stakeholder Management Lead, acting as a senior point of coordination across Conduent's internal teams and its external stakeholders on the MTA Modern Fare Gates program. The role is relationship, communication, and governance-focused rather than hands-on technical, and is expected to operate with executive presence and independent judgment in a politically sensitive, public-facing program.

Scope of Services

The contractor's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain and strengthen stakeholder relationships across the client (MTA) program office, Conduent leadership, and relevant project, engineering, and delivery teams.
  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder map and engagement plan, identifying key decision-makers, influencers, and interest groups, and defining tailored engagement approaches for each.
  • Serve as a liaison between Conduent and MTA stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities, expectations, and program milestones.
  • Prepare and deliver executive-level communications, briefings, and updates for internal leadership and external stakeholders, translating operational or strategic desires into clear business and program narratives.
  • Identify and surface stakeholder concerns, risks, and escalations early, and coordinate timely, coordinated responses across internal teams.
  • Support program governance forums, steering meetings, and review sessions; advice on decisions and strategies.
  • Advise on Conduent's positioning during the competitive evaluation phase by ensuring stakeholder-facing messaging, commitments, and issue resolution reinforce the company's credibility and performance narrative.
  • Provide guidance on interactions on politically and publicly sensitive matters, coordinating with communications and leadership as appropriate.
