Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Southern Monmouth County NJ
Hybrid - 2 days remote, 3 days in office

Salary: to $80K

Overview

Hybrid role in Monmouth County. Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Be a part of a culture that promotes functional excellence and teamwork. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and have 6 months to 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly closing journal entries and other tasks related to month end.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records.
  • Track capital expenditure requests and spending.
  • Monthly account reconciliations.
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules.
  • Monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable subledger to general ledger.
  • General accounting knowledge.
  • Ad hoc reports/duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 6 months to 2 years in a public or corporate accounting or finance role.
  • Fixed asset accounting experience a plus.
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills.
