Staff Pharmacist - Home Infusion

Join our dedicated team based in Rock Hill, SC as a Staff Pharmacist specializing in home infusion therapies. In this role, you will ensure comprehensive care and support for patients through accurate dispensing, inventory management, and patient counseling. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and provide detailed drug counseling.
  • Implement rigorous systems for tracking lot and batch numbers to facilitate effective recall of medications.
  • Dispense respiratory medication and other pharmaceuticals accurately in compliance with prescribed standards.
  • Effectively handle and manage any pharmaceutical recalls to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and manage inventory levels ensuring availability of essential medications.
  • Participate actively in performance improvement programs to enhance pharmacy services.
  • Report adverse drug reactions and product incidents in alignment with legal and company policies.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities periodically as per the organization's operational requirements.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing education initiatives provided by the pharmacy.
  • Assist in training and supervising pharmacy staff to ensure high standards of pharmacy practice are met.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist licensure in both NC and SC.
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical compounding.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate and meticulous records.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a home infusion setting.
  • Background in managing patient medication therapy, including patient education and follow-up.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated care.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Strong analytical skills for effective decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic work environment.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and patient safety.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Need for visual acuity to read medication labels and computer screens.
