Position Overview: The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of our finance team, responsible for a variety of accounting tasks that contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports. With guidance from a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), this role provides an excellent opportunity for budding accountants to refine their skills, broaden their knowledge, and pave their career path in the accounting field.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Support audit and tax preparation functions.
- Handle ad-hoc accounting projects as directed by management.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Previous experience in accounting or a related role is a plus.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
