STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Available Immediately - Temp to Hire hire role with our client north of Pittsburgh, PA.

As part of a small administrative and finance team, the ideal candidate for this role is detail-oriented and capable of versatile job responsibilities. This Staff Accountant role is responsible for a wide range of accounting and business operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, month-end close, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including billing and collections
• Assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries
• Process payroll and prepare related reports
• Support employee onboarding, records management, and other administrative functions
• Collaborate with leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives
• Help maintain accurate financial records and support overall accounting operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is highly desired, relevant experience may be considered
• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related finance experience required
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, or payroll
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions
• Ability to learn new systems and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a plus
• Manufacturing, industrial, or project-based accounting experience is preferred but not required
