Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships.
We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.

About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a growing organization that relies on accurate, timely financial information to support smart decision-making and steady operations. As the business continues to mature and scale its processes, this role has been created to strengthen day-to-day accounting execution and support a reliable close cycle.

This environment values clarity, ownership, and precision. The accounting function operates in a fully cloud-based ecosystem, with QuickBooks Online at the center, and the team depends on clean data and strong controls to keep everything moving smoothly.

This opportunity is well suited for a detail-oriented accountant who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and appreciates the rhythm of managing daily accounting activities while contributing to month-end and year-end success.

What You’ll Do

This role blends structured accounting work with problem-solving and collaboration.

  • Maintain the general ledger in QuickBooks Online, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly classified.

  • Prepare and post journal entries, supporting a timely and organized month-end close.

  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards each month, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activity within QBO, keeping balances current and supported.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements directly from QBO.

  • Maintain the chart of accounts, ensuring proper setup as the business evolves.

  • Track fixed assets and record depreciation entries.

  • Assist with payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations.

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including schedules for internal review and external auditors.

  • Maintain clear documentation and audit trails within QBO.

  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed.

Who You Are

You’re someone who takes ownership of your work and cares deeply about getting the details right. You’re comfortable working independently, but you also communicate clearly when something doesn’t add up or needs attention.

You enjoy structure, appreciate well-kept records, and stay calm when deadlines approach. Whether reconciling accounts or preparing financial statements, you bring consistency, focus, and accountability to everything you touch.

Preferred Experience & Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 1–3 years of hands-on accounting experience.

  • Required experience working in QuickBooks Online.

  • Solid understanding of GAAP principles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciliations and basic formulas.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred but not required:

  • QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification.

  • Experience with third-party QBO integrations such as Bill.com, Gusto, Stripe, or Shopify.

  • CPA or CPA-eligible.

  • Background in a small or mid-sized business environment.

Why This Role Matters

This position plays a direct role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization. Your work ensures that leadership can rely on accurate reporting, clean reconciliations, and well-supported financial statements.

You’ll be trusted with core accounting responsibilities that support compliance, internal controls, and operational confidence. As the business grows, this role helps create stability, visibility, and consistency across the financial function.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to senior accounting or finance leadership.

  • Works closely with internal stakeholders supporting accounting, payroll, and reporting activities.

  • Interfaces with external auditors as needed during close cycles.
