The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the global consolidation of the Company’s financial statements with a focus on helping maintain and enhance the Company’s ERP, Oracle. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in communicating with the broader finance organization to understand the needs of the business and ensure ERP updates are appropriately implemented.
The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for various month-end close duties including recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing fluctuations, and various other ad hoc projects as assigned and will be involved in the integration of acquired businesses, including the integration and mapping of GL systems. This role will includes reporting responsibilities related to monthly management financials and quarterly and annual SEC filings.
This position is located in Arlington, VA and requires 5 days a week in the office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with a variety of aspects of the Enterprise Resource Planning system implementation and maintenance
- Assist with special projects within the department or as part of cross-functional teams
- Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules and review monthly financial results
- Research technical accounting issues
- Work with external auditors and facilitate review of the close process, account reconciliations and variance analyses
- Ensure timely monthly close and accurate monthly results
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college
- A track record of commitment to prior employers
- 2 years of accounting experience working in a large international public company and/or Big 4 accounting firm
- Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
- Licensed CPA or candidate is preferred
- Strong project management, time management and communication skills
- Financial reporting experience
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP
- Ability to think critically and analyze data effectively
- Ability to work with financial systems design, structure and reporting
- Ability to work effectively within a team to complete projects
Salary Range: up to $85,000
