CBIZ Talent & Compensation Solutions is assisting a downtown Manhattan CPA firm in their need to add a Staff Accountant/Senior Accountant - Tax to their growing team. This position is full time and on site in New York City.

Salary range: $75,000 to $100,000/year depending on experience.

General information
- Successful candidate should have 2-4 years of tax and accounting experience working for a CPA firm. Candidates must have their degree in accounting and possess strong communication and organizational skills. The applicant should either have passed or working to complete all portions of the CPA Examination.
- On site position. (Down the road the firm would consider hybrid after the candidate proves themselves); candidate must be able to report 5 days a week to the office.
- Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks or equivalent types of Accounting Software.
- Experience and an understanding of ProSystem Tax software is a plus.
- Responsibilities will include the planning and preparation of various businesses (including bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, etc.) individual and fiduciary income tax returns, preparation and analysis of fiduciary accountings, preparation of estate and gift tax returns as well as other general accounting duties.
- 1040, S-Corp, LLP work. NO SEC
- Like most public accounting roles with tax clients, there is a busy season
- This position will offer an excellent learning and growth opportunity for the right hard-working individual. It is a pleasant work environment with diverse clientele in various businesses.
- Healthcare covered at 80%; 5% profit sharing.
- Company has three active partners, office admin and a few senior/staff accountants or CPAs.
