Sr Systems Administrator

Responsible for advising, assisting, informing, training and alerting to IT systems in your scope, and will manage directly all parts of projects involving systems, storage and backup.

• Responsible for the optimal functioning of system and storage components
• Implements the tools guaranteeing the coherence of the infrastructures;
• Installs the active part of the connections (ESX, servers, storages) and system software;
• Ensure the operability of proposed solutions and the associated organization;
• Develops rules for using the necessary tools, in accordance with company standards;
• Documents, promotes and monitors their applications;
• Control of project security constraints.
• Define roadmap for infrastructure developments (new hardware, software version, sourcing strategy);
• Define the roadmap of changes in the services offered to businesses and internal customers;

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience - VMware, Citrix, Storage and Windows Server.
• Prefers Linux OS knowledge
• Prefers VMware, Citrix, NetApp certifications.
• Prefers 7 years in server hardware maintenance and support.

Knowledge/Skills

• Data Storage Solutions knowledge and administration – Expert (NetApp, EMC – preferred)
• Server/Storage hardware familiarity – Expert (Dell, HP, EMC, NetApp hardware – preferred)
• VMware Administration – Expert
• High proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms. In general, they must be adept at network engineering, with working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems
• Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization – Expert
• Systems Backup Technologies – Advanced (Veritas, Commvault – Preferred)
