General Summary

This position is responsible for managing sales activities of the Company’s products to achieve the corporate objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Job Description
  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Evaluates profit margins for key customers, negotiates pricing and Annual Price Agreements and Contracts.
  • Approves/advises price quotes on competitive bids for OEMs and Distributor quotes.
  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Coordinates liaison between sales managers and other sales related units.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of the sales division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
  • Conducts sales meetings with account management and sales teams; tracks sales performance versus established targets, profitability and issues, and coordinates activities.

Management & Supervisory

  • Monitors and reviews employees’ work activities through individual meetings, departmental and group meetings to ensure that all activities are proceeding smoothly as planned.
  • Motivates, develops and mentors employees for improved job performance.
  • Controls and approves employees’ time off schedules.
  • Conducts hiring interviews, performance reviews, and disciplinary meetings and makes departmental personnel decision through consultation of officers.
  • Follows company policies and procedures regarding management duties.
