OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Risk Analyst helps manage risks, insurance policies, practices and compliance & reporting to efficiently manage and minimize the total cost of risk. This is a hybrid position working in the office on Monday & Tuesday and the office is in Dundee, MI. Other locations include Chicago, IL / Dallas, TX and/or Nashville, TN.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Director of Risk Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Assist in all Financial Planning activities with respect to forecast, budget, and payments and reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial plan data to identify potential risks/opportunities and present findings along with proposed actions to senior management for review and decision making.
  • Assist in the development of risk maps.
  • Analyze complex scenarios to reduce cost of risk; this may require interpreting financial and risk data and gathering claims, logistics, manufacturing, and system (SAP) data.
  • Assist with operation of risk management information system.
  • Assist with management of risk and insurance programs.
  • Assist in risk financial planning activities.
  • Maintain risk data including, policies and risk reports.
  • Process premium and fee payments.
  • Liaise with the risk accounting transaction team for some of the deliverables to include pre-paid insurance account reconciliation, quarterly and year end true up activities.
  • Support Certificate of Insurance issuance process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
  • Assists the Risk Manager and Claims Manager in managing the Company's Risk Management Program and department.
  • Works in conjunction with all business units, and functional areas including Finance, HR, Logistics, Environmental, Shared Services to obtain underwriting information.
  • Works in conjunction with Corporate Holdings, Treasury, Tax and Accounting departments to coordinate claims and premium reporting.
  • Work with 20+ specialty insurance brokers and actuaries to manage insurance policies.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree. Master's degree preferred
  • Field of Study Preferred: Law, Finance, Risk or Insurance Management, or related.
  • 5 years relevant experience.
  • Required Training/Certifications:Associate in Risk Management Designation (ARM) Certified Risk Manager Designation (CRM).
  • Required Computer and Software Skills: Advanced Microsoft User, SAP a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: 10%.
