Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Product Management Excellence for a specialized manufacturing company in North America. The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver product development projects essential to the continued growth of the company and to complete strategic corporate initiatives. Sr. Manager will manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to all New Product Development processes throughout the development life cycle. Responsibilities also include management of issues, risks and project changes to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. They will also drive improvement with project management practices. Key challenge is to assess the current state of project management, and to be a catalyst for elevating the level of project management in the organization. Also responsible for integrating project management into key strategic corporate initiatives and business elements.

Background Required:
  • 'Hands on’ Project Management in manufacturing environment (2 years)
  • Strong Project Management (establish, monitor & revise project plans needed to complete the project (5 years)
  • Managed a portfolio of complex projects that span one or more lines of business
  • Led complex projects involving stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Full project life cycle ownership: implementation from initiation to close for one to several concurrent initiatives
  • Project management experience in New Product Development and Operational Improvement
  • Trained, coached, and mentored project management team members
  • Computer proficient: Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Education: BA or BS (Business, Engineering or Project Management or similar)
  • Residence: MN (relocation assistance possible)

Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Project Management Professional, PMP
  • Knowledge of MS Project
  • Advanced Education: MBA
