Peskind Executive Search is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a leading public safety technology organization seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale software implementation projects across North America.

This highly visible role will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, internal stakeholders, and implementation teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope. The ideal candidate will bring strong project leadership skills, enterprise software implementation experience, and a passion for supporting public safety agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Customer Engagement

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, project teams, and executive stakeholders.
• Lead customer-facing and internal project status meetings, providing clear communication and project updates.
• Manage project plans, milestones, deliverables, and task completion throughout the project lifecycle.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure a successful implementation experience.
• Escalate issues and risks appropriately to maintain project success.

Project Execution

• Oversee complex software implementation projects from kickoff through go-live.
• Align project scope, statements of work (SOW), and resource requirements with delivery expectations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including implementation, technical, product, and support resources.
• Track project progress, dependencies, issues, and action items.
• Facilitate resolution of technical and operational challenges to keep projects on schedule.

Risk & Portfolio Management

• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Present project status, risks, and key milestones to leadership teams.
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.

Financial Management

• Monitor project budgets, labor utilization, and project financial performance.
• Manage project forecasting and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reporting.
• Partner with finance and leadership teams to proactively address budget variances.
• Ensure successful project delivery while maintaining profitability objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PMP Certification (or equivalent project management certification) required.
• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise software implementation projects.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, customer-facing deployments.
• Strong project planning, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized.

Preferred Experience

• Public Safety, GovTech, CAD, RMS, NG911, Dispatch, Public Sector, or Emergency Communications experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects.
• Familiarity with SaaS, cloud-based, or enterprise software environments.
