Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering (Land / Site Development)

Location: Tyler, TX

A well-established, nationally recognized civil engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a (Senior) Project Manager to join its growing team in Tyler, Texas.

This is a leadership-focused role for someone who enjoys both the technical side of land/site development and the client-facing/business development side of the business. You’ll have the opportunity to work on a diverse mix of projects while helping grow and shape the local practice.


The Role

This individual will play a key role in leading design, permitting, and client management efforts across a variety of land development projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the design and permitting of land development projects including:
    • Residential
    • Commercial
    • Institutional
    • Mixed-use and industrial developments
  • Oversee site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion & sediment control from concept through completion
  • Perform and manage stormwater design, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and SWPPP preparation
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
  • Participate in business development efforts, including developing new clients and expanding existing relationships
  • Collaborate with office leadership on growth strategy and team utilization
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at a high level of quality

What They’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of site/civil engineering experience with a focus on land development
  • Strong background in site design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management
  • Experience managing projects from concept through construction documents
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and SWPPP preparation
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Active involvement in professional organizations is a plus
