Senior Project Engineer – Hybrid in Rochester Hills, MI 

Our client, a global player in design & manufacturing for the automotive sector, is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join their small, collaborative team in Rochester Hills.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for leading the development of high-quality connector systems from concept to production, ensuring alignment with customer and internal standards:

• Design & develop connector systems that meet cost, timing, and performance targets
• Manage product validation with internal test labs and ensure compliance with specifications
• Initiate and implement engineering changes for product improvement
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including tolerance stack-ups
• Participate in design reviews, VA/VE workshops, and development meetings
• Engage in benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide training and technical insight to internal stakeholders
• Occasional travel, including potential training in Germany

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in the Automotive sector – OEMs, Tier 1 & Tier 2
