Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP Customs Brokerage & General Manager of the LA Air Service Branch for one of the world’s leading logistics companies with 700+ locations in 47 countries. Our clients global network enables them to provide fast, efficient, cost-effective solutions that utilize multiple modes of transport that are optimized for every business need.
The Sr. Manager Customs Brokerage will be responsible for guiding the performance of the Los Angeles Customs Brokerage Operations, including Free Trade Zone and external Customs Compliance offerings. Will lead a team of 10 tenured CB staff processing nearly 2000 entries monthly. Key objectives of the position will be the development of the brokerage operations, brokerage team and improvements to the overall customs brokerage product productivity and quality in all areas. The challenge of the role is to provide exceptional regulatory compliance and world class customer service.

Background Required:
  • International freight forwarding or customs brokerage (15+ years)
  • Customs brokerage license (10+ years)
  • Staff management (5+ people)
  • Expert knowledge of customs brokerage
  • Strong classification & regulatory skills
  • Customs brokerage training & program development
  • Computer literate: Office suite (Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Greater Long Beach, CA area
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred not required)
