Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for optimizing the production system during the shift;
  • Responsible for troubleshooting, advising, and eliminating any and all related issues while on duty
  • Assist in the development and implementation of work procedures, PMs and LOTO;
  • Participate in down day, outages, and special projects;
  • Participate in 5S, Lean MFG, and any other continuous improvement activities;
  • Participate in “Root Cause Analysis” meetings to determine and rectify problematic issues in the process
  • Participate in all safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations;
  • Be an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism;
  • At all times follow all company rules, policies, and expectations;
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate required
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field is preferred but not required
  • Prior Siemens experience is a plus!
  • Experience with industrial power systems is a must;
  • Ability to organize and explain complex data in a clear manner;
  • Detail oriented with proven analytical, problem identification and resolution skills;
  • Ability to work in a Team orientated atmosphere;
  • Strong safety awareness and experience;
  • Demonstrated capability of achieving results through people, technology and process;
  • Seamless Pipe Mill Experience a huge plus!
  • The candidate must have a solid understanding of automation equipment, including PLC, HMI, and industrial networks
  • Have an understanding of and be fluent with data acquisition systems such as IBA.
  • Have a solid understanding of the various signals involved in automation that will be required, such as encoders, load cells, 4 to 20ma, 0 to 10 vdc, etc.
  • Have substantial experience with variable frequency drives and understand the theory of operation of the various subsystems.
  • SAP & general computer knowledge not required but preferred;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers and management
