Role: Sr Financial Analyst (Direct Hire)

Pay: $100,000-$110,000 (Plus Bonus)

Location: Kittery, ME (Hybrid)

Premise:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a role in supporting management’s strategic planning and decision making by developing, maintaining, and enhancing financial tools and systems.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and actionable insights for senior management.
  • Develop advanced financial models to project trends, assess risk, and support long-term financial planning.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Use advanced forecasting techniques (e.g., scenario analysis sensitivity analysis) to predict financial performance and identify new opportunities and risks.
  • Conduct in-depth variance analysis between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying the root causes of discrepancies, collaborating closely with other departments to understand variances, recommending corrective actions.
  • Analyze key business areas and collaborating closely with other departments. Examples include:
  • Operations: Assess procurement, manufacturing and distributions costs for variances and identify areas for optimization.
  • Sales: Perform margin analysis, evaluate the impact of discounts, promotions, and pricing.
  • Support optimization and ongoing maintenance of the Jet Analytics system to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or other related field.
  • CPA desired, but not a must
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis or related field
  • Advanced user of BC 14 - Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Jet Analytics or similar systems is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL or similar) and financial data integration across platforms.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI) for data visualization and reporting.
  • Expertise in advanced financial analysis techniques, including forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Strong ability to identify financial trends and risk opportunities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data across platforms, develop operational dashboards, and support data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
