About Our Client:
Our client, a large tier 1 company who is a global leader across Canada, US, and globally, is seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join their rapidly growing Finance team. This fully remote or hybrid role will receive continuous growth and development to help invest in ones career.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Sr. Manager, this position is ideal if you enjoy diving into the numbers, making sense of them, telling their story, and providing insight into what you see coming from them. The role provides a blend of financial analytics and business partnership. This is a intermediate-level position and a successful analyst will have an integral role in shaping Canadian level reporting and supporting/driving other key finance initiatives.

Essential Tasks

  • Analyzing information and creating reports to help drive the business forward
  • Prepare monthly financial packages, support schedules, and balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts including financial analysis for business decisions
  • Liaise and support managers to drive the planning process for the BU's
  • Create flash reports to aid in problem solving
  • Modelling and tracking of performance
  • Provide budget support and tracking
  • Analyze data and create financial models
  • Conduct regular variance and trend analyses and report findings
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Other key projects as appropriate


  • Actively pursuing a CPA is required
  • Bachelor's degree with a business, finance, or accounting focus is required
  • 2+ years of planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills with experience supporting business growth and process development from mid to large structured companies
  • Financial modelling experience
  • The ability to understand and communicate complex financial information, providing insight into what the numbers are telling you
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, macros, and BI tools
  • Great communication skills and relationship building capabilities to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced ability to diagnose problems and develop thoughtful and appropriate solutions
