As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in pursuing and securing complex Heavy Civil projects throughout Arizona and the Southwest. You will lead estimating efforts from opportunity evaluation through bid submission and project turnover while collaborating with operations teams to position projects for successful execution.

What You'll Do

  • Lead estimating efforts for large-scale Heavy Civil construction projects including transportation, earthwork, underground utilities, paving, structures, and public works projects
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate estimates for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracted work
  • Develop bid strategies and identify project risks and opportunities
  • Coordinate with operations, field leadership, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners throughout the estimating process
  • Participate in constructability reviews and value engineering efforts
  • Prepare and review proposals, schedules, and supporting bid documentation
  • Support project turnover and collaborate with operations teams during project startup
  • Mentor and develop junior estimators and estimating staff

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of Heavy Civil construction experience with a strong background in excavation, underground utilities, structures, paving, transportation, or public works projects
  • Experience with ADOT projects is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bid2Win, Hard Dollar, AGTEK, Bluebeam, and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Negotiated project experience and technical writing skills are a plus
  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously
