Position Summary

The Senior Director, Market Access is a senior commercial leader responsible for developing and executing U.S. pricing, reimbursement, and patient access strategies. This individual drives coverage, pricing, contracting, and access initiatives across marketed products and pipeline assets, ensuring patients can access therapies while maximizing product value. The role also leads payer engagement, evidence generation strategy, and market access planning across the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in biopharmaceuticals, market access, managed markets, or healthcare consulting.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. payer systems, managed care, reimbursement, pricing, and healthcare policy.
  • Proven success in pricing, contracting, payer negotiations, access optimization, launches, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market access, pricing, reimbursement, and contracting strategies across the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Government Affairs, Legal, and other stakeholders.
  • Gather payer insights and convert them into actionable business strategies.
  • Lead U.S. pricing strategy development and contracting governance.
  • Monitor healthcare policy changes and competitive market dynamics.
  • Lead development of gross-to-net strategies and payer contracting.
  • Support value dossiers, AMCP dossiers, and health economic models.
  • Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing market access team.

Additional Information

  • Approximately 20% domestic travel required.
  • Position includes leadership responsibility for market access personnel.
