Job Description:

The Digital Strategy & Enablement is responsible to a) provide digital thought leadership to inform our business strategies b) incubate digital and analytical offerings c) drive governance and execution. We drive ideas from concept to launch in a rapid fashion, taking smart risks on strategic and innovative offerings. We assemble solutions by building and integrating.
Part strategist and part program manager – you will be responsible for generating, framing, and new ideas / opportunities and driving robust governance to execute the vision. You will find creative ways to assemble/ build these digital capabilities and solutions that can drive strategic growth and lower operating cost structures. You will be actively sought to solve highly ambiguous and complex problems at the intersection of business and technology. You are adept at understanding emerging technologies and how they fundamentally alter the business dynamics.
You will drive ideas from concept to launch in a rapid fashion and partner with senior leaders in the business to identify and conceptualize ideas, partner with the digital & technology team to drive execution. As new ideas evolve in the external market and/or internally, you will facilitate the decision making to scale the MVP / Pilot and act as a bridge by defining the scaled business / operating model and ensuring a smooth transition to scale.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop the digital strategy, solution & roadmap for future growth for selected global portfolio area in a muti-million-dollar portfolio
• Ensure resources across the enterprise are most effectively deployed across the portfolio to support delivery of growth goals.
• Use strong conceptual and analytical skills to generate insights and recommendations.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to optimize portfolio metrics and KPIs that support delivery of innovation strategy, refining as business needs evolve.
• Excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior leaders.
• Makes things happen, takes accountability, drives decision making and focus.
• Proven leadership of effective project portfolio management practices across a global portfolio.
• Partner with cross-functional team and evangelize vision with key business stakeholders and executive leadership to drive alignment
• Drive creative solutioning by assessing internal /external capabilities and considering build vs buy vs assemble considerations
• Drive the overall governance and strategy execution including product and portfolio council
• Develop operating model for newer capabilities (as needed) and partner with the Business Affiliates as well as Digital & Technology functions as we scale solutions
• Publish thought leadership on emerging technology trends and insights and guidelines on application

Expect to distribute your time across:
• Market facing (~10%) – Keeping abreast of emerging tech and identifying disruptive capabilities
• Strategy Definition (~30%*): Define strategies and digital solutions, develop business cases & roadmap for opportunities tapping into emerging tech capabilities and integrating them across the businesses
• Solution Delivery (~60%*): Manage and drive global cross-functional coordination for the selected programs implemented in the innovation pipeline.

Education and Experience
• Multi-disciplinary – Engineering / Software degree /experience plus MBA
• Master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree plus relevant professional experience that would be equivalent to a master’s required
• 7+ years of applied, relevant experience in Strategy / Digital consulting, Entrepreneur, Software Product Manager
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to evangelize their vision at all levels. Proven ability to communicate complex, technical information in easily understood manner
• Quick learner, high tolerance to ambiguity, Self-driven, hustler who can push through organizational barriers
• Technology savvy with a passion for emerging technologies and how they can be applied to solving real problems
• Acumen for building relationships with peers, business partners and the external world.
• Inherent bias for action and understand the need for speed and urgency
• High level of business acumen. Knowledgeable in relevant policies and market trends, technology and information affecting the business and its competitive position.
• Utilizes an entrepreneurial approach and develops innovative solutions.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling, planning, database management/business intelligence.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to evangelize their vision at all levels. Proven ability to communicate complex, technical information in easily understood manner.
• Ability to write business cases, process maps, presentation materials and articles using distinctive style.
• Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics across various levels of leadership
• Reasonable degree of financial acumen and ability to understand P&L impacts
• Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment
