Job Description

Job Title: Databricks Data Engineer

We are seeking a strong Databricks Data Engineer to work independently on specific models and datasets within our data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply mapping documents to guide development and data transformation work
  • Analyze existing code and implement fixes for identified defects
  • Work independently and collaboratively with business, technical, and downstream teams to gather requirements and resolve issues
  • Own and deliver assigned datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure all deliverables meet data quality standards with no outstanding quality issues

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Data Engineer working in Databricks
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling
  • Ability to read and interpret technical mapping documents
  • Strong debugging skills with experience resolving code defects
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively across business and technical stakeholders
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage individual workstreams with minimal oversight
