PROPRIUS is working with a Pleasanton, CA area based company to add a Senior Data Scientist to their growing team. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded global company with over 45 years experience in their niche.

The Role:
As the Sr. Data Scientist, you will translate data into advanced analytics content, and generate state of the art data visualizations and appealing customer experiences. Our client’s industry analytics content and solutions are delivered over the cloud and are based on the broad scale aggregation of data across entire industry ecosystems – including automotive, electrical distribution, and home improvement.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Provide mentoring and coaching to members on the Data Analytics team
• Responsible for development of analytics product packages with key a focus on matching the final user experience to a business user case
• Perform research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data and have primary responsibility for the front-end analytics user experience
• Participate in cross functional analytics product teams including DW engineers, ETL software engineers, data sciences engineers, data production staff, aftermarket industry SMEs, and also directly engages customers to orchestrate the final analytics solution
• Investigate and integrate analytic technology and new data sources to keep their analytics solutions current in the fast-evolving analytics market space

The Candidate:
To be considered for the Senior Data Scientist role, you ideally will possess direct experience building, deploying, and supporting large scale analytics solutions.

In addition, it’s essential that you possess the following:

• 2+ years of Applied analytics experience
• Bachelor’s degree computer science/statistics or related field (or equivalent experience)"
• Experience using SQL and/or Python to analyze large datasets
• Advanced knowledge in one or more analytics front end toolsets such as such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI, or Tableau
• Background and experience in medium to large IT initiatives leveraging formalized requirements, agile/iterative development methods, and formalized change management processes

Ultimately, you could be a great fit for this role if you can prove that you can translate large amounts of data into digestible and beautiful customer experiences and work cross functionally with other departments to deliver exactly what our customers need to make better business decisions.

The Package:
The salary for the Sr. Data Scientist is up to $135,000 per year for the perfect candidate. In addition, there is a bonus potential that paid 125% this year!
