Responsibilities associated with this position include acquiring data, maintaining databases/data systems, filtering and cleaning data for reporting or use in other analytical models, analyzing data using statistical techniques, and preparing and presenting reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies in datasets to support decision-making.
- Perform data cleansing, preparation, and transformation using appropriate tools.
- Support data-driven initiatives by providing recommendations based on findings.
- Assist in the design and implementation of data collection processes, reporting systems, and analysis frameworks.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Data Analyst.
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with manipulating and visualizing data using Python.
- Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming.
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysis.
- Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Adept at generating reports and presenting findings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.
- Must be flexible and work with limited supervision.
- Customer-focused, adaptable, and willing to work varying assignments.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Palantir Foundry.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.
- Experience working with data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with Databricks for large-scale data processing, analytics, and machine learning workflows.
- Proficiency in using Apache Spark for distributed data processing and optimization.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Eight years of relevant experience with other education and training may substitute for bachelor's degree requirement.
