The Senior Controls Technician in Nashville serves as the critical bridge between junior technicians and senior leadership, directly influencing project execution, team development, and customer satisfaction. This role exists due to growth and internal promotion, and its success will immediately relieve pressure on the Director while elevating the performance of the entire local team. The person in this position will be trusted to take direction and run with it—mentoring junior technicians, providing hands-on technical support, and helping ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
The Company:
The organization designs, builds, programs, and commissions advanced building automation systems for new and existing facilities across multiple markets. It leverages industry-leading, user-friendly automation technologies and is known for its technical depth and collaborative culture. As part of a larger, employee-owned enterprise, the company benefits from long-term stability, shared ownership, and a strong growth trajectory. Employees participate in an ownership structure that reinforces accountability, long-term thinking, and shared success. The business has expanded significantly in recent years and continues to invest heavily in people, training, and internal career mobility.

The role also includes elements of basic project management, coordination with internal teams, and proactive problem-solving to keep jobs moving forward. The position is based in Nashville and requires a strong local presence.

- Working knowledge of standard protocols including BACnet and Modbus
- Proven ability to work independently without close supervision
- Strong communication skills and comfort supporting both technicians and leadership
- Willingness to remain field-focused rather than transitioning into a purely desk-based role
