Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace has an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Sr. Contracts Administrator / Sr. Customer Service Representative / Customer Accounts Lead at our plant in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Reporting to the Director, Commercial, this position will be responsible for administrating and coordinating all business aspects related to the sale and delivery of company products. Has all the same duties and responsibilities of a Contracts Administrator but in addition may be responsible for the supervision of the work of others on a major program, will provide direction and guidance to Contracts Administrators as required and help in preparation of various reports required from the Contracts department by upper management.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct all activities of the contract life cycle, including initial receipt of customer RFPs, preparation of cost estimates and proposals, negotiations and acceptance of contracts, implementation of work and monitoring of contract performance, and contract close out, all at an expert level.
  • Monitor gross margins achieved on contracts and assist in contract reviews to improve company performance.
  • Update Order Management System (OMS) to ensure that it accurately reflects the current status of firm orders.
  • Communications with internal and external customers to ensure proper contract performance, with investigations into any problems in order to identify corrective actions for management's consideration.
  • Prepare inputs into budget preparation, latest estimate revisions, weekly sales reports, and other miscellaneous reports as required.
  • Act as primary point of contact for all company customers and maintain constant communication with every other department in the company.
  • Assist and provide advice to Contracts Administrators on various functions to ensure that consistency and proper practices are utilized.
  • Provide assistance to Management in preparation of reports and act on their behalf when required. Maintain working knowledge of Contracts department issues.

Position Requirements

  • Commerce degree or Business Administration diploma required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related industry or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Canadian government or standard industry terms and conditions.
  • Experience with standard office equipment and software (i.e. Microsoft Office, etc…)
  • Customer service minded with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
