The Senior Compensation Analyst’s primary responsibilities are focused on assisting the development, implementation and administration of the and compensation plans to attract, retain and engage employees.
Reports to the Manager, Compensation, Benefits and Rewards and is located in Des Plaines, IL.
•Conducts annual benchmarking cycles; analyze and assess market data, industry trends, and best practices to create market competitive programs. Develop and adjust salary ranges as needed. Includes ensuring pay equity.
•Recommends job classifications and manage the integrity across entire population to ensure compensation practices are in compliance with current regulations in all markets. Conduct job evaluations for all levels (non-exempt, exempt, managerial and executive level roles).
•Builds exceptional relationships with managers of all organizational levels to review and understand the job functions and department organizations.
•Prepares and analyzes reports related to employee benefits and compensation, including monthly reporting for HR Metrics. Reviews data and presents in an effective way to tell the story.
•Ensures appropriate alignment and controls with administrative process when auditing and compensation data.
•Participates in compensation surveys.
•Assists in Bonus planning.
•Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
•Conducts New Employee Orientations as needed; conducts exit interviews, develops reporting and evaluates trends; recommends improvements based on feedback received from employees.
•May assist with comprehensive immigration processes, policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with related laws, rules and regulations as needed
•Assists with training initiatives as needed, including performance management planning, harassment prevention, team building and other programs as needed.
•Maintains knowledge of government regulations, compensation program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Ensures compliance of compensation administration with federal and state laws, included IRS and DOL regulations.
•Work on special projects as needed.

•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline (e.g., compensation administration, design and strategy or other related field). Master’s degree a plus.
•Minimum 7 years of Compensation and Human Resources Generalist experience including experience as a Compensation Analyst.
•SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential a plus.
•Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
•Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, ACA, IRS, DOL, Title 7, ADA, FMLA, FLSA and ability to apply to workplace situations.
•Strong experience with HCM, benefits and compensation modules in Workday.
•Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint); must be highly proficient with Excel.
•Strong analytical skills, organization skills and must have the ability to handle multiple priorities
