Commercial Loan Officer Opportunity
The institution is seeking an experienced Sr Commercial Loan Officer to manage an established loan portfolio and contribute meaningfully to the commercial lending team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Functions:

Service and maintain a substantial existing commercial loan portfolio.

Actively identify and pursue new commercial lending and banking product opportunities within the current portfolio and among new prospects.

Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills while positively representing the institution in customer interactions, the industry, professional associations, community groups, and local business networks.

Effectively manage the existing portfolio by obtaining updated financial and covenant information, evaluating credit conditions, repayment ability, and collateral positions.

Understand various types of collateral and the legal requirements associated with securing commercial loans.

Conduct frequent external visits to clients and prospective customers.

Collaborate effectively with internal teams and build strong relationships with clients, reflecting the institution’s legacy and its mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial lending is also preferred.

Proficiency or the ability to become proficient in the institution’s CORE loan and credit underwriting systems.

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, financial analysis, and cash flow evaluation.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, adapt to changing circumstances, problem-solve effectively, and take initiative.
