Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the VP Sales.
The Senior Commercial Account Manager will take ownership of the commercial leads provided as well as manage a personal sales pipeline, balancing new and existing accounts. Will develop strong and lasting relationships with air, ocean, road – rail carriers as well as brokers, forwarders and direct importers/exporters as platform members. Will be responsible for increasing the volume of commercial transactions within our client’s platform, identify platform members who are interested in further systems & accounting integration and will work closely with operational support teams to grow customer base.

Background Required:
  • Sales experience within the transportation industry (8+ years)
  • Experience in ocean / air carrier, customs brokerage and/or trucking
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success
  • Excellent knowledge of local markets and competitive landscape
  • Time, territory & contact management
  • Prepares bids and proposals
  • Negotiations
  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: greater Houston, TX metropolitan area
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Knowledge of Power Bi
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • “Hunter” mentality
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Executive level presentation skills
