Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Director of a leading third-party and asset-based logistics provider that specializes in transportation solutions throughout United States, Canada, and Mexico. Their headquarters are based in Southern California and they have additional operations in Texas, Nevada, and Florida.
The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for providing customers with the most efficient mode of transportation for their products, on time and intact. This highly motivated individual will grow new and existing business and have a proven ability to maximize relationships with carriers and account managers /customers utilizing personal contacts, networking and strong price negotiations to grow sustainable profitable business relationships. Challenge is to increase revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage (2+ years)
  • Strong carrier sales performance
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL, Intermodal, Drayage)
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Creating a carrier following
  • Develop and manage KPI’s (i.e. # loads booked, on-time performance)
  • Load board knowledge (DAT, Truckstop, Slyectus)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Remote/ Home Office (East Coast or Central)

  • Education: College Graduate
