Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Platform Team)

Our client is currently hiring an experienced software engineer to be part of their quickly growing team that's working on some of the most rewarding work - helping law enforcement catch bad guys, while better securing our communities in the process. You Will:

● Design, build, and maintain systems that solve some of the most challenging problems at the intersection of facial recognition and big data

● Collaborate with their world class engineering team to produce high quality tools, APIs, products, and systems

● Collaborate cross-organization to solve business critical needs with software

● Contribute to and improve their engineering paradigms, processes, and tools

You may be a fit for this role if you:

● Have 4+ years of experience in a backend engineering role

● Have excellent creative problem solving skills

● Are oriented towards meticulously crafting secure software

● Have a strong background in systems design and write well crafted code. The majority of their backend is written in Python with some systems in Go, and their front end is Typescript + react/redux. If these are your bread and butter you will fit right in.

● Are up to date on the latest software innovations and committed to continually building on existing knowledge and skills

● Are competent with unix/linux and containerization technologies

● Exemplify superior time management skills and are capable of working productively with minimal supervision

● Are a strong communicator and can work on a collaborative team

● Have a desire to innovate and build cutting edge technology
