We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Athletic Trainer to join our renowned Sports Medicine team in Geneva, NY. This full-time, direct hire position offers a unique opportunity to work across school systems and clinical settings, providing essential care and preventative measures to athletes. Expertise in injury management, rehabilitation, and education will be pivotal in this role. Candidates should be passionate about sports medicine and the welfare of athletes.
Salary: $52,000.00 - $72,800.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work directly under the supervision of a physician to apply methods and procedures for managing athletic injuries.
- Provide conditioning and reconditioning strategies through preventative and supportive devices.
- Educate coaches, athletes, and parents on the care and prevention of athletic injuries.
- Collaborate with school systems and healthcare teams within clinics or hospitals to support patient care.
- Provide event coverage based on contractual agreements with health systems, ensuring athlete safety during sporting events.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine or a closely related field.
- NYS Registration and License as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
- NATABOC Certification.
- BLS Certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.
- Minimum age of 21 years as per NYS Regulations.
- Prior experience as an Athletic Trainer preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer, ideally in a high school and/or physician practice setting.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with a high level of discretion and integrity.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
