Job Details:

  • Caseloads: Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, or High School.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Onsite positions available.

Qualifications:

  • Must have completed an SLPA program from a regionally accredited institution (e.g., associates degree, a technical training program, certificate program). OR received a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from a regionally accredited institution AND completion of ASHA education modules. OR received a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than Communication Sciences and Disorders AND completion of ASHA education modules AND successful completion of coursework from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in all of the following areas: introductory or overview course in communication disorders, phonetics, speech sound disorders, language development, language disorders, anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing mechanisms.
  • Must be permitted by the NC Board of SLPA Examiners.
  • Minimum of 1 year of school-based experience required.
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Proficient in creating therapy materials, conducting therapy sessions, student observations, administering simple screeners, and documenting services per students’ IEPs.
