CECL: Project Management (PM) Support & Business Analysis (BA)
• Liaise between Finance, Credit, Risk and Technology teams during all phases of the program management life cycle
• Review existing Target Operating Model (TOM), BRDs, architecture diagrams, data flows, and other documentation holistically to ensure consistency from E2E
• Consolidate multiple BRDs collaboratively into a single BRD to ensure continuous flow
• Consolidate multiple project plans collaboratively into a master project plan, using Microsoft Project and Excel
• Coordinate implementation/managing/tracking of project plan, risks, and issues
• Prepare for meetings with stakeholders, raising and tracking appropriate status and issues
• Enhance the twice-weekly working group minutes and conduct follow-ups
• Perform a gap analysis (data, people, process and technology)
• Proactively identify key issues, roadblocks, process enhancements, and solutions
• Plan and execute the testing phase with stakeholders (approach, plan, cases, metrics)
• Facilitate the transition of Business As Usual (BAU) processes to Finance
Skills Required:
• 5-15 years of relevant experience as Project Manager / Business Analyst working on projects for the Finance department of an investment bank / financial services company
• Finance/Accounting/Regulatory/Risk Experience - A good understanding of the finance function and processes of a financial service organization, examples: GL, accounting/finance processes, US GAAP/IFRS, Regulatory Reporting
• Experiences across a range of financial products (e.g. Loans, Fixed Income)
• Strong data analysis and problem solving skills to perform data quality gap and root cause issue analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent soft skills in working with cross-functional teams
• Ability to think proactively and critically at both detailed and high levels
• Any experience with CCAR or the CECL accounting standard is a plus
