Special Process Engineer
Russ Hadick & Associates, a 43-year executive search firm, has partnered with a well-respected and growing aerospace manufacturer to find a Special Process Engineer.
This is a role for someone who wants to take real ownership of their work. You will not just be supporting processes. You will be the person responsible for improving them, solving problems, and making sure they meet demanding aerospace standards.
The company supports major OEM programs and works on complex, high-precision components. They have a strong reputation in the industry and a steady pipeline of work.
What you will be doing:
- Take ownership of special processes such as welding, laser processing, and related manufacturing methods
- Develop and improve processes to drive quality and efficiency
- Lead process qualifications, certifications, and audits including Nadcap and customer audits
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term solutions
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and customers to support production and continuous improvement
- Help ensure suppliers are meeting required process standards
What they are looking for:
- 8 or more years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
- Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated environment
- Strong background in welding such as TIG, resistance, or laser welding
- Familiarity with special processes and certifications, Nadcap experience is strongly preferred
- Experience developing and qualifying manufacturing processes
- Someone who enjoys hands-on problem solving and being the go-to technical expert
