Mead & Hunt has a new bridge design opportunity for their growing South Carolina team. This is a career-defining position with a fast track to increasing responsibility and prestige, offering an opportunity to serve as an employee-owner in a 125+ year old multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm. Local experience is not required; relocation will be provided.

The engineer will join a well-established bridge team with a strong backlog of South Carolina projects as a technical design engineer. This role includes bridge design, plan development, checking plans and load ratings, creating specifications, and serving in key technical roles on regional bridge projects. The engineer will work alongside and be mentored by a senior bridge engineer and work as a part of the team to provide high quality design and construction documents.

The Carolinas bridge team works on a wide range of projects and is known in the region for high quality designs. Projects include long curve steel girder bridges, signature bridges, and a wide range of replacement and new bridge projects for DOT and municipal clients throughout the Carolinas. Individuals can work from Mead & Hunt’s Lexington, South Carolina; North Charleston, South Carolina; or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina offices. Please indicate location preference when applying. Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 3+ years of experience
• Structural bridge design experience
• Experience using either MicroStation or OpenBridge
