Job Description:
- Lead client-facing business and technology assessment, process analysis, and/or design workshops to determine necessary client processes, requirements, and any additional needs related to the project.
- Align closely with Engagement Manager/Director and team to ensure successful project execution.
- Capture business, functional, and technical solution requirements while managing requirements through the project cycle of definition, design, solution build, scripting/testing, and resolution.
- Lead discovery and design sessions with the client and/or vendors, including capturing and clarifying requirements.
- Responsible for writing of detailed functional specifications during the design phase of the project, including creation of process flows, data maps, and integration landscape diagrams.
- Develop functional business process test scripts.
- Prepare and conduct customized end user training workshops, supporting application education, and training content.
- Provides advice to clients regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
- Collaborate with technical resources on design, data mapping, and development of integrations, including fundamental data requirements for Transportation Management Systems API structures.
- Configure solutions within 3rd party software to meet specific client requirements.
- Recommending when viable solutions exist outside of the TMS software.
- Serve as a functional liaison, attending and contributing to meetings between project team, end users, and key client contacts, up to and including executive project sponsors.
- Sets up and coordinate user acceptance testing efforts, supporting final acceptance and critical phase sign-off by the business owners.
- Provides end user support during the 'go-live' and hypercare period.
- Ensure knowledge transfer is conducted with key client project team members and end users..
- Support internal projects to standardize project approaches, methodologies, and templates.
- Complete assigned and agreed to work within allotted time and with a high level of quality.
- Can lead and facilitate in-person requirements discovery workshops pertaining to common logistics business processes and functions.
- Understanding of the process and purpose for executing and maintaining a requirements traceability matrix through the design, build, and testing phases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transportation business operations including Truckload, LTL, Ocean, Air, Intermodal, and Parcel.
- Demonstrates domain expertise on various Transportation Management Systems, with an emphasis on the OTM platform, including configuration and integrations.
- Demonstrates expertise in carrier rate/tariff structures and delivery schedules.
- Knowledge of enterprise and supply chain applications, especially those that integrate with a TMS..
- Experience using Smartsheet for project management is preferred.
- Knowledge of EDI messages and carrier onboarding processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, and/or IT preferred.
- 7+ years of implementation experience, to include executing: project implementation flow of planning, design, build, testing, training, deployment, and hypercare.
- Experience in Management Consulting, or Organization Supply Chain Center settings preferred.
