Solution Architect, Network Solutions
Job Summary:
We are looking to add a skilled Enterprise Networking and/or Security focused Solutions Architect
As a member of the Pre-Sales Engineering Team, you will be responsible for meeting with Presidio’s customers, collecting requirements for business solutions related to network and security projects, and developing engineering solutions for sale to Presidio customers. A successful Solutions Architect (SA) should be able to present and explain various technologies to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of ENTERPRISE class solutions from leading providers of on-premise and cloud networking/security solutions. Successful candidates will have a solid grasp of network and security design principles based on industry best practices.
Travel Requirements:
In this role you will be expected to travel up to 25%. You can be based in either the Grand Rapids, MI or Lansing, MI areas.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop high-level technical solutions and present to customers (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services).
- Collect business and technical requirements.
- Complete end-to-end, full lifecycle security/network designs.
- Drive whiteboard conversations.
- Craft customer facing presentations.
- Delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Generate hardware configurations (BoM).
- Write statements of work (SoW) and develop Professional Service pricing utilizing Presidio tools.
- Ability to self-pace and self-set direction in a team environment to drive business.
- Work with Account Executive/Extended Sales Teams to develop customer relationship and solutions and assist in overall sales process.
- Maintain and develop technical and technology specific skill sets and certifications.
Required Skills:
- Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of two or more of the following:
- Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Aruba)
- Complex wireless solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
- SDN solutions (Cisco SD-Access, Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, CloudVision)
- SDWAN solutions from Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Silver Peak, etc.
- Cloud security and networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Network Access Control (ISE, FortiNAC, Aruba ClearPass)
- IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- MDR Solutions (Presidio, Arctic Wolf, Rapid7)
- Endpoint security (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black)
- Identity and Access Management solutions
- Micro-segmentation solutions (Guardicore, Illumio, Cisco Secure Workload)
- SASE/SSE (Zscaler, Netskope, Palo Alto)
- Security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, PCI, and HIPAA
- Load balancing solutions (F5, Netscaler)
- Cybersecurity offerings such as vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, compliance, segmentation strategy, or Red Team/Purple Team.
Additional Desired Skills:
- Technical certifications in the areas of Enterprise Networking, Security, and/or Cloud
- Experience with office productivity software and diagramming software such as MS Visio or Lucidchart
- Experience in a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 3+ years of experience, which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in Enterprise Networking and/or Security solutions.
