Software Engineer-Python, Django, SQL

Position Responsibilities:

The Software Engineer-Python, Django, SQL designs and delivers custom software using Python, Django, and SQL Server technologies. Works with company ownership and business experts to define and manage the delivery of technology and business systems roadmap. Supports & develops process automation within the back-office systems and builds data integration with multiple factories, customers, and third-party logistics providers. Supports & develops data analytics and BI capabilities using Tableau and data warehouse reporting technologies. Supports Server and Desktop Infrastructure.

Background Required:

• Developed end-to-end custom software & data reporting solutions (7 years)
• Python programming using SQL (relational) databases (5 years)
• Team lead or project management delivering systems innovation (3 years)
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Information Technology)
• Residence: Commutable to/from Columbia, MD (hybrid - 1 day home, 4 days in office)

Background Preferred (but not required):

• Consumer products industry
• Tableau Server Reporting & Tableau Data Prep
• Django web application development.
• ERP systems such as NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Sage, SAP, Oracle
• Microsoft Hyper-V environments
• Project Management certifications in Agile or Waterfall methodologies
• QuickBooks
• JavaScript, React, etc.
